Well, I'm almost ready! The mobilization begins this week, and the harvesting next week. So I'll be checking into the hospital soon for the post-transplant sterile recovery time. The hospital has a brand new transplant/oncology unit, so I expect it will be quite comfortable. I'm going to take a tour this week, before I get too much further.
My question is this: what things should I consider taking with me to help make the downtime more comfortable and endurable? I'm having my favorite pillow and comforter cleaned, and I'll take my books and computer, of course, and my favorite tea. What other little things added to your comfort?

thanks, Leann, for your observations. I took a tour of the inpatient clinic today, and it's downright palatial! Very family friendly too, so I think I'll be able to bear it.
I started the Neupogen injections today, and should begin harvesting on Tuesday, if all goes well. I'm looking forward to getting on with this process, so I can get back to my real life soon!
I appreciate all the comments here. I'm learning a lot. thanks to all.
