I just found this site when searching for info on myeloma. My mother is a myeloma patient at MD Anderson and currently has a very high pulse-160bpm. She is being transferred from a lymphoma floor to a cardiac floor to stabalize the heart. Once they start treating the heart they will stop the Chemo-Cyclophoshamide. Her liver has started to be affected and a new lesion to the spinal cords and some bones have been identified this weekend. Docs say if she goes into congestive heart failure or if she has to be recussitated, no doctor will continue Chemo. Does anyone know why????????
My brother and I live in a different area than my mother and have not been able to maintain contact with the many different docs that she has. If there is anyone out there experiencing similar situation and has some advice, I would apprecate it. We are trying to make a decison today about what to do if her heart stops. Sincere Thanks-Grace
