| Wendi, How old is your Mom? Do you think she fully understands the risks and benefits? Even though the road can be long and disfficult, Stem Cell Transplant has been shown to get people to remission. Could she be depressed? These are some of things that popped into my head. Good luck with your mom. I hope she feels better soon.

Maybe she's decided to fight the fight in a different arena. There are other options available to her. She might be willing to meet with a specialist and discuss transplant vs novel drugs. It could be what's best for her, is treatment with novel drugs...I can certainly see in my own mind the many options there. I would suggest not pushing her towards either treatment. Instead, try to open her mind to the many options out there. Considering her experience at fighting cancer, she surely can appreciate how lucky she is to be fighting myeloma today as opposed to 12 years ago. Her myeloma may be as controlable as her blood pressure.
She's a lucky gal...remind her of that while you're hugging the air out of her ;-)

| thanks for your responce, I am a bit traditional when it comes to her and what the recomendations for her treatment is, but there is alot of different treatment plans for her to choose from I must alow her to decide for her self, she is sick but not having problems with her mind she is very bright and I have to be thankfull for that . I want her to live forever,I want to hug her everyday and call her everyday just to talk.
